A beloved family pet was rescued by firefighters as they battled a serious house blaze.
Fire crews from Swaffham, Dereham, and King’s Lynn responded to a major house fire in Swaffham.
The blaze, which broke out in the kitchen, caused significant damage to the property and while his family members were able to escape, Finley the spaniel remained trapped in the house.
Amidst the chaos, firefighters found him sheltering behind a sofa and rescued him from the burning building before giving him oxygen.
In the aftermath of the frightening incident last week, the family decided to share their story as a stark reminder to others about the importance of fire safety, urging households to ensure they have functioning smoke alarms that are tested regularly.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "A smoke alarm could save your life!
"It's an early warning system that warns you almost as soon as a fire starts, giving you time to alert everybody in your household and to escape.
"Test smoke alarms at least once a month, we promote once a week - Test it Tuesday.
"Make sure that there is a working smoke alarm on every level of your home and never ignore a beeping alarm."
