Swaffham Town moved into the semi-finals of the Norfolk Senior Cup on Saturday after recording a comfortable 3-0 win at underdogs UEA.
Playing again a side from Division One of the Anglian Combination the Pedlars never looked back after taking the lead after just five minutes.
It was an excellent goal too, with Ryan Pearson finding the back of the net with an impressive over-head kick from a Kyle Plumb cross.
The Pedlars made it two 20 minutes into the second half when a spilled save from a Luis Duarte shot was followed up by Nick Castellan to net from six yards.
Castellan got his second in the 74th minute, lashing the ball into the left hand corner from 16 yards out.
The students were worthy opponents and fought on until the end, bringing the best out of keeper Tommy Rix, who pulled off two great saves in the last 10 minutes.
Swaffham continue their quest for promotion from Division One North of the Thurlow Nunn League on Saturday when they host Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves.
Back at Shoemakers Lane, the Reserves maintained their hold of top spot in Division Three of the Anglian Combination with a good 2-0 victory over Aylsham Reserves, with James Thompson and Blake Stangroome on the scoresheet. The second string are without a game on Saturday and will drop out of the top two if rivals Beccles Caxton and Heacham both win.
